I guess I’m gonna appropriate and relocate the X-ray bib from my dentists office next time around? Wait, who even goes to one of these?

Ironic that the company that makes the scanners is called PatriotOne Technologies.

Ironically true, every bit as much as the Patriot Act is for our own good. You do love freedom, don't you? You don't want to aid the enemy, do you? Be a good citizen and move along.

AND.... Westgate will still proudly sell you a time share. From their website:

Through Vacation Ownership, a purchaser acquires the rights and ownership to use accommodations and amenities for a specified period of time. As a Westgate Resorts Owner, not only do you get the right to use, but you also enjoy the opportunity to visit incredible destinations throughout the world through our exchange program. Best of all, the deed and title to your property serves a valuable asset that can be passed down to future generations.

Does this also mean that "owners" are also barred from bringing their weapons?

I thought everyone had pretty much caught on to how bad a deal timeshares are for most people.

Does this not run afoul of the law in terms of your room being your "home"? Or maybe not since the room contract you are agreeing to says no weapons?

Given their stance, I suspect their time share contract has covenants that address weapons, probably. Or, you have to go through company-owned property to get to your tiny little slice. I see several ways they could prevent even owners from carrying, with just a little work.

And, to my jaundiced eye, time share ownership is "property ownership light." Think of property rights as a bundle of sticks. When someone sells you a time share, they are not giving you very many of their "sticks."

Is this like Westworld? Because if so, I can understand they want you to use their special guns that only let you shoot the host.

"This rate might not seem like a lot, but it does lead to privacy concerns for the guest that is taken into custody at gunpoint for a false positive."

At what point am I in fear for my life when a mall cop points a firearm at me?

    How about this..

    From the printed text..

"Where Federal and/or State law or rules differ, the company will abide by the applicable standard."

Well if they try to enforce this in the State of Indiana my "applicable standard" is my LTCH....

If you break their rules by being armed in their lobby, at what point are they somehow enabled to "take you into custody" at all, whether at gunpoint or not?

I can see them telling you to leave or escorting you off of the property, but custody??
