You guys may have seen it in the news. I just moved from Lawrence
to Sheridan. We would never eat at this restaurant, due to the large no weapons allowed sign. Ironically, it didn’t stop the criminal from entering with a weapon.

... the large no weapons allowed sign.

I don't understand?? How can there be a shooting if no weapons are allowed?

The shooter isn't the ony one that ignores the sign.

Since "the one claiming to be the shooter" is cooperating this ^^ seems likely - and perhaps he wasn't the 'bad' one but it is way to early with too little info to determine that.
what's that stat that I've seen roughly repeated year in / year out from IMPD something like
80% of shooters and also 80% of victims are, by their own record, "not proper" people for possession ... ?
(its close to that but I am broadly generalizing without specifics of this case).

Last Friday was our last day in Lawrence. I will not miss the P-Pike Walmart. We would play gun shot or firework. Now I know it’s just gunshots in sheridan.

As stated before, I live in Lawrence.
I drive past that Wally World at least once a week.
If I find a need to go to Wally World, I go to 96th St.

I am also familiar with "gunshot or firework"
This is VERY close to home... https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo...r-lawrence-shooting-ingo-leo-any-updates.html
