Just hold that milk bottle in front of you.

Plastic, lightweight, buoyant and stops a .308 at close range.

Soft body armor stops handgun bullets at close range.

The tshirt has plates front and back and is under $500.

I'm waiting for the UHMWP level III and III+ plates to become more available in larger dimensions and for prices to come down. When that happens, I'm getting some.

UHMWPE is really exciting. Not really sure how a buncha plastic costs three or four times the price of an AR500 steel plate. I wanna see one of those plates get lit up by XM193 out of a 20" barrel at close range.

I'd rather have that than steel, but it's gotta come down in price.

I am thinking that it should absolutely come down in price. I also think that a bare plate with a standard trauma pad would cost less. I think a lot of the price is in making it all one unit. A bare plate shouldn't cost that much.

How much bigger could it be? This one is tight in a standard plate carrier. Do they make bigger sizes?

    I really like the T-shirt.

I need a bigger plate on front and back. While my vitals are no larger than a normal sized person, the angles at which they could be penetrated are exaggerated by my circumference, so I need more coverage on front and back.

I considered two plates, but unless they overlap, there will be a seam that had negligible protection.

So we need to make a custom plate carrier and plates for you.

You do realize that the supply and demand issue will increase your cost exponentially.

There is a reason that someone can use polyethylene to make body armor and charge what they do.
