Jesus. Cop sees a man standing with a gun and fired. Was he wrong? I'm not the man to make that call.

Homeowner sees a shadow or a man and cant make out it's a cop and cop doesnt identify himself (at this point that's his story), and shaddow man fires at him on his own property and he returns fire. I think hes in the right.
This is ugly. Clearly two good people and no malicious intent I dont tjink

Sums it up perfectly a bad situation between two people without nefarious intentions.

I wonder how many encounters have happened with similar intentions with far different outcomes?

not enough in the article but why did cop fire to begin with UNLESS he had been told suspect may be armed.

homeownwr not charges as cop survives.
wonder if it qould be different if homewoner would have been a better shot and actually killed the cop.

Are we certain that the officer fired first? :dunno:

From what I can tell, the homeowners statement is all we have to go on right now.
