If you read INGO and you see case after case of Glock carriers setting themselves on fire by re-holstering, you might ask "just how does that happen"?

It is the involuntary hand gripping that accompanies using the hand in a forceful manner. The hand closes after it is used forcefully in any plane. Here the hand balls up in a fist after he plays cowboy with his Glock, shoving it in his holster like a numbnuts who was trained watching horse operas (there no earthly reason to do this but this is what he saw on The Paladin). This is how they shoot themselves, over and over and over.

Uh... hold up. At about the 1:08 mark, there is what appears to be a young woman shooting a revolver. She's so far off the firing line that she's behind the dividers. There's someone between her and the firing line, offset by 1 stall, filming her with a camera. Then, someone right next to her also filming with a camera.

    Uh... that's bad, right?

No. Downrange photography is permitted and envelops the photographer in a special immunity shield.

What in the hell is so difficult about indexing your trigger finger on the slide or frame until your sights are on target?

Also, downrange photography and videography is now feasible with low-cost drones.

    Col. Jessup's personal photog said:
“Son, we live in a world that has shooters, and those shooters have to be photographed by people with cameras. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Printer of crafts? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for bad f-stops, and you curse the aperture settings. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That good downrange pictures, while dramatic, probably win internet points. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, racks up views. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me downrange, you need me downrange. We use words like accuracy, trust, discipline. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent dodging bullets slowly. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the gun porn that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, otherwise, I suggest you pick up a camera, and stand really close to a target. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.”

    Could be anywhere
Maybe they just wanted to highlight unsafe weapon handling...the 'reporting' was pretty hand wringing we're all gonna die.

Also, while getting a gun out of the holster fast may be a necessity you have the rest of your life to put it back.

Between the droning woman interviewed with her "it's for the children" and the voice over about school shootings being so common, the unsafe craziness with the firearms was so over the top. Painful to watch.
