when he said "which I've never trained in the past, but I will be from now on" even though it wasn't meant to be funny I had to laugh. Insane story, makes me want to add 10mm to the collection. Even though I don't see myself wrestling gemsbok anytime soon.

They have been known to kill lions with those 30-40" horns. Also known to have both the attitude and know how to use them when cornered or wounded.

That rife is no slouch, either. It appears to be a Rem 700 .338 Lapua in an HS precision stock. I say 338 LM just because I've not seem DBM with other large mag like RUMs and such nearly as much. The sharp forend transition to barrel suggests HS stock to me.

I wouldn't have guessed you needed that much gun for a Gemsbok.

Now that's funny.

I got in many fights because of Ted Nugent growing up.
We had a grungy pool hall downtown with an old jukebox and as soon as we'd arrive we would play "Wango Tango" and "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" for about 5x each. Then play pool while the mexican gangs that hung out there would start getting really pissed off. Spend a bit of time in the alley out back sometimes face up and sometimes face down. Once my friend ended up in the trash bin.
