I'm looking for the source of a quote similar to the following and am having a difficult time finding it. The source is on the tip of my tongue. It goes something like this:

"Self-defense is a lifetime commitment to awareness, avoidance, and de-escalation." - or something like that.

    Where/who is it from?

    Kirk Freeman? :dunno:

I doubt it. Let's examine the evidence:
    1. It's concise.
    2. It doesn't leave much wiggle room.
The evidence points me away from a lawyer as the source. I'm not going to say that it couldn't have been Mr. Freeman, as I have been surprised by INGO many times, but that's not where I would place my bet.

Bill Kipp has a self defense video that has a title that sort of matches your quote. Don't know if he is the originator of the phrase.
