I attend a Catholic church with a school and want to carry while attending worship services. Do I ask permission from the priest or the Arch dieses(sp) or is it legal if they do not have signs posted? I know I should ask permission but who do I ask?

If there are no signs (signs do not have force of law in Indiana, if asked to leave, leave or it's criminal trespass), or the Church has not specified firearms are prohibited (by policy, announcement, etc.) then you may legally carry provided you are a proper person, not a prohibited possessor, have a LTCH at Church services.

What was so bad about the previous law was the Church and School could've been a significant distance apart, but if it is the same property everything was a school 24/7. Major props to Senator Sandlin and Representative Lucas on this subject.

I guess i need to read that law that passed since I wasn't aware of it. I'm curious how it affects a church where the school is attached to the church.

If you ask, the answer will not only be No, but **** No!

Keep it concealed and don't venture past the fire doors that separate the Church from the school.

In my case, I can't not go into the school portion. I have to help herd the grandkids to Sunday School while our daughter goes and gets prepped for class.
