I am looking for a holster option that will attach to the dash or center console. I saw some options online, but not quite sure. I have a new style F150 if anybody has had a good experience with a vehicle holster option. Thanks in advance.

I have ordered the middle console vault for the truck, but don’t want to be fumbling with a dial combo or armrest if/when SHTF.

Purchased and installed. I think it will do the trick, at least to keep the thieves deterred during a smash and grab. Trying to find double sided gun magnets now. I don't know if 3M mounting tape will hold a weapon securely over a bumpy back road. Anybody have luck with that?

That looks interesting. If I wasn't already set on my holsters, I'd consider this.

My center console compartment is deep. I'm thinking about making a false floor for it. I'm pretty sure I could hide it well so that even if someone opened it, it would look legit. The only issue I have with that is I would have "stuff" in it that would have to be moved when I wanted to access it. Or I just have to move it somewhere else.:)

Do You want this because it's not comfortable on long rides? Might I suggest a leather owb pancake holster on hip

if you want fast. the fastest deployment is from under the thigh, pistol already unholstered, if driving slow. Next is from hip bc of muscles memory. Next ankle holster on offside ankle but is slow. Attached under steering wheel probably next. Center consol between seats in lock box 2nd most secure. You might be surprised how fast muscle memory makes the draw

Your car is not a gun safe. Risk of losing it in a collision, risk of theft, risk of negligent discharge by requiring unnecessary handling of the weapon, car holsters are simply bad. The fact that somebody sells them does not make them a good idea and does not mean you have to buy one.

You just talked me into buying one for my GMC.

It's definitely not as "cool guy" to not have a gun in a holster right there for shtf, but the points made are 100% true. I'd take that further, as someone who comes from a place with high car theft, that you don't leave anything in the car you're not prepared to lose. Firearms in particular. It's on you're person or it's someplace that some hot wire junkie cannt drive away with your safe.

Conceil Nation has a regular feature on its website called #DIGTHERIG.
I'm going to call my series DON’T DIG THE RIG.
This installment takes a look at Travis and his Smith and Wesson M&P 45 in an Alien Gear holster. It's a big gun. It’s best for people with large hands. Most people would really be better served by the 9mm version.

Even worse is the idea of a “car holster.” I carry a spare pistol in my car. It’s hidden in a locked safe attached to a structural component of the car in the spare tire well underneath a whole bunch of other stuff in the rear cargo area of my SUV.

I can not believe this guy writes for the gun community.
