I went online to State website and updated my address. I opted to not pay the 20 bucks for a new card. About 3 days later I received a email response saying everything was updated. My question is do I need to print that email for proof that I did this ?

It is legally not needed. However with computer systems you never know. It's always wise to have a paper trail or at least a digital file of it.

I have changed my address twice & never had an issue. I did just recently update to the pink card.

I changed my address 11 years ago in their system, been pulled over once since then and it was out of state. Had to hand over both DL and LTCH and the Federal Park Ranger didn't question the difference in addresses at all.
