Am I reading this right? IU claims to be a political subdivision for tax purposes per this link and the IRS determination letter.

this makes their “no guns” policy a violation of the state preemption clause correct?

im not a lawyer, I’m a blue collar worker who stumbled across something that made me ponder. Any of the info armchair lawyers or actual legal scholars want to set me straight?

Wasn't Kirk, once upon a time, looking for political subdivisions that were still enforcing illegal gun-free zones? I feel like I remember one of the INGO attorneys making that a personal mission.

I recall someone was on the hunt for these places once upon a time. That combined with a reddit post saying call the cops on someone carrying on iupui sidewalk was what inspired my fact finding mission.
