Very cool! This idea as applied to air guns has been around for a while and is on solid legal ground. Applying this same principal to a muzzleloader is an awesome idea. Since they recommend only Blackhorn 209 (fouling is non-corrosive), cleaning and rust should not be as big an issue as it might otherwise be. I'm tempted to throw my money at one of these just to reward Silencerco for their creativity on this.

Love it. It definitely answered my age old question of whether black powder guns could be suppressed (turns out, yes they can).

I need to see a video of it shooting though.

    Wow.

Totally wouldn't have thought this would work.

Totally love that someone's climbing out on that limb.

I've been listening to their podcast and when I saw the ad it was pretty cool. I know one of the employees is on a muzzle loader hunt right now as well so I'm sure we may see some more photo or video from them before long too.

What would really be neat is if they could start selling barrels with "moderators" permanently attached like they are here so a tax stamp is avoided and you get a suppressed barrel in the mail... That idea has me as excited as anything else I think!

I'll have to wait for someone to find New Jersey's laws on suppressors and definitions.

And if it's legal there now, I bet in 30 days they'll have made it illegal.

    That's pretty awesome

With CVA being owned by Bergara, who own Dead Air, AAC being owned by Freedom Group (who own Remington), and Gemtech being owned by S&W who own T/C, I wonder if they'll start making copies of them?
