Thinking about getting a single-shot breakopen .357, and having it cut/threaded 3/4x10 to match the old 2-stage Sionics style can, then have the can TIG'ed onto it to make a compact integral .357/.38 carbine. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Loctite? But you may be on to something as the Sionic style cans are virtually worthless. May as well use it for something.

You will end up with a SBR. Even welded to the barrel. The Sionic comes apart at both ends for service. I assume you know this.

So disregard if so. Even though I find your idea worth pursuing. I was thinking of a MP 5 lug adapter myself.
