Looking at picking up my first can, and want to go doggin' in the next year, so I'm looking for a can for a 25-06. I'm guessing a 30 cal (.308), but that's a guess. Anyone have any definitive info on the proper caliber for a 25-06 rifle?

Yes, a 30 can can rated for 300WM will definitely handle your 25-06. Id recommend titanium and a heat sheath if you're going to be shooting alot.

Yeah 30 cal and be done with it. There’s a couple 6.5 cans on the market but I probably wouldn’t worry about them just do a 30. If anything 30 cal and if you have replaceable end caps, get a 5.56 end cap and have it bored out to .260, but that would be super picky and probably just a waste of money

I agree I would go with a 30 cal can. Alot on the market have replaceable end caps, could size down to a 6.5 size for a bit better performance. Although im sure a 30 cal end cap will do just fine. Next decision is brand and mounting method!
