I bought this today at a yard sale It is stamped "Legigimus Collins & Co US". Came with the scabbard dated 1965 and has a light layer of cosmoline smeared on it. Blade appears to be Damaskus forged (?). I've seen a few from WWII on line that look just like it and saw the last production date is 1965. Unfortunatly, it looks like someone went totown on the blade with a bench grinder. Anyway, does anyone know much about these? Before anyone asks, I paid 35 bucks for it and a Coleman lantern and am not looking to sell. Here's a few pics.

I don't know anything about older knives, but looks like a cool collector's piece. I need to start hitting some yard/garage sales as it seems people find cool stuff from time to time.

    Congrats on a good buy...:yesway:
