To make a long story short I have neglected my Leatherman Skeletool CX and now have a little bit of rust on it. It is mainly on the hinges and on the wirecutter/needlenose. Anyone know of a good way of removing this? Thanks in advance!

Try some KROIL or Ballistol, I've used both to remove rust without removing bluing or other finishes.

I've used a TufCloth to remove light rust on some old pocket knives and such. I guess it would depend on how extensive the rust is.

Ok, here is a little secret that not a lot of knife people know about. Use the product "Coon P". If you allow it to soak in the areas that are hard to get to for 24 hours, the rust/corrosion will come off a lot easier. A little Coon P will go along way. NASA developed it and the National Knife Museum endorses it. It's a Smoky Mountain Knife Works exclusive.

The best thing I know of is Super QCG, Bradis sells it. Give it a shot, I have been happy with it removing surface rust.

If you can't have a sense of humor over an inanely basic question, then you're in the wrong place.
