Just to make you knife guys jealous...

Watched an ORIGINAL NIB Al Mare SERE fixed blade sell for about $650 the other day at a charity auction...

My opening bid of $300 was QUICKLY trumped...

Oh Lord what a pretty knife....

near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
I had one I bought in 1989. It got burned up the in the house fire. The house was a total loss down to the ground. The Al Mar had its scales burned off and god knows what done to the metal, but it polished up and holds an edge still.

It was my favorite knife. Now it is just a keepsake.

I paid about $160 for it then which is about $250 now.

We were told that they're quite rare without the box.

And this one had only been out of it's box a few times...

Someone got a smoking deal on a real and true collectible - and it wasn't me. :D
