There was a thread like this a long time ago but I couldn't find it. I go through phases of Knives, then guns, then hawks/axes, then knives lol. it's a vicious cycle and right now I'm back in my hawk , hatchet and axe phase. Lets see your favorites and why!

damn it here is a teaser pic since photobucket is so freaking slow anymore. once they finish loading I'll have the rest. post pics if you got em.

I know you do!! You also make some pretty bad ass ones yourself!

Daniel that is a cool little hatchet. How does it chop sir?

Thanks Pat, it chops really nicely, it came remarkably sharp. I'll make a fuzzy little tinder stick in no time flat. it's a sweet little hatchet. I've been eyeing one of those big double bit GB's like yours.

How do you keep your Axe's so clean sir? It looks like leaning on that tree is the first time they have touched wood. (yes I realized I opened a dangerous door with that last comment)

I SHALL NOT SUCCUMB TO YET ANOTHER ADDICTION!

I have three hawks, where are you?

My tastes lean toward the inexpensive (easily replaceable) Cold Steel varieties, scrubbed down and patinaed. I like a very light camp hatchet that I can separate the head from handle for transport. If push came to shove, a light hawk would be way better than most hand to hand SD tools. I'm not a fan of the opposing spike as I'm afraid I'll put it in me.
