I carried a Byrd Raven for a while. However, I've been much happier with my $45 Endura.

Yeah, Byrd is a great knife for the money. Made in China, but still solid little knives.

I picked up a Spyderco designed by Wayne Goddard when the company was fairly new - the price was $90 then. Has his signature on the blade.

It's been clipped to my left pocket daily for almost 14 years now. I have no regrets and it still sees plenty of use.

I've cut wires with it.

I've started cars with it by using it to conduct juice through the starter solenoid.

I've used it with flint to start fires.

It's in used condition, but doesn't look abused at all. It's stood up to everything, and the most conspicuous marking are from arcing when I had to cross start my old CJ5 back around '99 or '00.

I've broken a couple Ka-Bars now; this knife and a Cold Steel Master Hunter are the only ones that have impressed me thus far. Well, those and the Air Force Survival Knife, but I gave up the latter a long time back in trade for a Ka-Bar. Dammit.
