    Define having a new profile done and what do you want done to the leading edge of the knife? Tanto's have to be treated as essentially two totally separate edges in order to not mess them up. Granted Striders Tantos are fun due to the very obtuse secondary bevel featured on the tanto's forward edge.

    The strider has been sharpened as needed in the field by an unexperienced person (me). Also the tip of the blade has a very small chip. I guessing profiling only because of there different angle of grind. I know I should have never tried sharpening a tanto but I use this as a tool in my line of work and needed it sharp .

    If you could post some pictures of the damage that would be really helpful and I could at least try to get you going in the correct direction.
