Just snagged this from IMA. Original Ghurka kukri from the Royal Nepalese cache, original sheath. The knife is in quite good shape, from my research, it appears to be late 19th century or very early 20th century. Good enough for me to order a "Longleaf" from Atlanta Cutlery. Cool piece of history for not much dough.

I recently picked up a Chiruwa Ang Khola from Himalayan Imports. Incredibly useful blade shape, makes a great substitute for an axe. Plus you feel like a bad ass Ghurka holding it, haha.

    Near the big river.
Got one from a former neighbor 2 years ago. He was helping his nephews clean out their grandpa's gear after he passed. Grandpa was in Burma in WW2. They had thrown the Kukri away!!. My neighbor, Bud, though I would like it.

He has no other info about it or grandpa's service. They are in Western New York where I grew up so it is not easy research it, also I do not know the family.

Every time I look at it just have to wonder about it's history....
