I'm looking for a folding knife with a blade of about 3" and it will be for conceal carry in a front jean pocket. Any ideas on what's good on the market for less than $50?

Just for self-defense? Anything sharp will work if those are the only parameters. I’d look at the Kershaw lineup for under $50 in a knife.

Huge Kershaw fan myself. How about the Intellect for around $25?

A while back I picked up a Gerber Razorfish. Love the blade on the knife, although it does not have a thumb flip to open the blade. You have to use your index finger which is ackward for me. Paid $25 for it so I can't really complain.
