    Has anyone purchsed/tried out a Buck Selkirk? I saw my first one at Gander and I keep going back and staring trying to decide if I can justify its presence in my home.

    It looks cool, but I've never handled one. If I were you, I would watch some of the video reviews on youtube. There are a LOT of videos about the Selkirk.

    Well, THERE'S an injury avoided....

    Edit: after a little you tube time, I may have to have one. Looks like a very nice little general purpose sheath knife. Call me geeky, but I like the firestarter, too. The bright orange whistle I could do without. The price point is pretty good, too.
