Real Benchmade

I’m looking at this Benchmade. I don’t know if it’s a Autocrat or Phaeton or ???. Looks like Carbon Fiber. Does the pocket clip look legit? Screws look good, box looks a different. Blade also look off kilter to me. I dunno.. going to try and get hands on tomorrow or day after.

Never seen a benchmade otf with carbon fiber handle, and that blade looks pretty common on junk cheap otf knives found online.

Its either fake, really old, or really new. My guess is on the first one.

Benchmade makes one with a glass breaker? Looks an awful lot like a Microtech with a Benchmade logo on the clip. Same handle shape and clip shape. I’d steer clear myself...

Looks like a Phaeton but the pocket clip is wrong. The phaeton doesn't have a glass breaker and uses the standard two screw style benchmade clips. I'm calling fake.

My advice is this... Always buy from an authorized dealer unless you really know what you're looking at. There are just too many fakes out there.

Yep. I’m going w/fake. Somebody at Christys Auction is going to buy a 100.00+ rip-off. Thanks people, I had doubts...I am wondering where their auction estimate of I think ~150-200 came from?
