Edit button missing

What happened to the ability to edit a post?? I went to my thread in the classifieds to update my listing, and there is no way to edit the original post.

After a time period editing gets shut off. This was enacted after a member got pissed off and went back and started editing out all of his posts from the time he joined.

A workaround is to have a supermod edit your post which apparently resets the clock. At least that was how it used to work.

I see it on the post I made here so that must be it. It was an older post so that would make sense. I just updated it but will keep that in mind when it comes time to close the thread....eventually that car is going to find a new home. I was hoping to convince my husband that I needed to keep it.
