Having trouble uploading photos

Im having trouble uploading photos to an album and to posts. I watched the tutorials and whatnot. Im trying to upload from my computer and it keeps telling me that it is not a valid image file. Its just a jpeg and Ive resized them to be small enough. Don't know what Im not doing correctly. any help appreciated. the files have all had .jpg file extensions.

I was trying directly from the computer, I was trying to avoid signing up for a third party host but I’ll try it.

You can not do it the way you are attempting. The Imgur sight is free. I use it as do a host of others. Easy peasy.

Looks like I figured it out.

Try now, there was a small issue for some and now should be fixed.
