Hey I need someone who can bead blast my 1911. Does anyone know where or who can do it? Or does anyone have one that could do it for me. If so let me know. I live in the Indianapolis/Hamilton county area

What are you wanting to blast it with? I have a cabinet loaded with #90 aluminum oxide. It'll work well to leave a surface for coating, not so much for leaving it as is. Glass beads work better for that.

Aluminum oxide will cut the surface and leave it with a sharper surface texture from the shape of the particles, sharp and angular. The glass bead will still texture the surface and give a satin or matte finish, but the surface will not be as sharp and not have the 'tooth' for a finish you would get will aluminum oxide.
