Need to know the value of this S&W ctg 22lr. Searched the web and came up empty. Probably 85 to 90 % thanks.

Have to buy it 1st. There's the dilemma. My conscious is getting the best of me. I'll feel guilty for giving what the guy asked so lets just say he wants A LOT less. He's old and I don't think he knows what he's got.

Well it looks to be a model 34-1, and with the box and tools 600 to 700, without about 500 to 550. The 1 7/8 to 2'' barrels seem to bring more than the 4 inchers. It also has pinned barrel which raises the value over a non-pinned by about 100.

If it is a model 34 it is worth quite a bit more
Don't take advantage of old people

The one you are referring to is on gunbroker and has been listed at 600 for at least 9 days with Zero bids. Might be worth it in some eyes but they sure aren't jumping all over it. Plus the one on gunbroker looks to be a lot nicer than the one the OP listed. 350 might be a reasonable offer. Maybe the old guy owning doesnt need money and is cutting him a deal. I'd advise the ole boy that its probably worth more and go from there. He might (you could hope) just say hey I don't need the money, just thinning the herd and though I would help you out.......
