This is a great video. This is something that is really accessible for other people since it's cheap and some well thought out ideas. Hopefully this doesn't turn into another Yeager punching thread like the last one. I hate it when that happens.

I like the idea of that Pack net deal at the end.

I do keep a get home bag in the trunk and I've been looking for a way to secure it for a while now.

thanks for the post Sylvain!!! I had never seen the bug out bag security cable bag, that portion was interesting.

They even make bags with a built-in cable mesh. You can put a padlock to close the bag and can't just cut the bag open with a knife to get inside.

You can secure small items into larger bags too or get a full backpack with the wire mesh thingy built it.

I may look into those for the other vehicles I have bags in.

My main problem for my truck is I have bolt cutters, files, saws and the like in the truck.

Make it easier on the thief... that's my goal.

Thanks for the post and the update.

I have never seen the mesh bag before. That is a great idea. It is very easy to reach $600 worth of gear, not counting what a quality bag would cost.

You might have to secure those tools as well.
Just having zip ties on the bolt cutters might keep someone from using them on your locks.
Also like Yeager said on the video bolt cutters are not your best option to cut thise wire mesh.
They could work on the padlock who keeps the mesh secured though.
