If anyone wants to chat about things discussed during the show, let's do it right here. Let me know if I missed it somewhere else.

Great show! This is the first I've listened to it! You can Tweet questions to him on Twitter @guyrelford

It is on WIBC FM 93.1 in Indianapolis. You can also get it on I Heart Radio's app.

These anti-gun groups have a huge problem. Whenever there is a terrorist act or mass shooting, they think it motivates people for gun control, but I believe it does the opposite. People look at it and realize they need a gun for protection. That's why gun control has gotten no traction in light of these events, in my humble opinion.

Mods--I wasn't sure if this should go here or in Carry Issues & Self Defense. Please move it if you think it fits better there. I started it when they were discussing gun control legislation, so that's why it is here...

I've gotten out of the habit of listening to WIBC since they dropped Limbaugh. Is this show on after 7pm?

I never was much of an WIBC listener. But having listened to Guy the past couple of weeks (and this is no knock on him) I can see why they dropped Rush---not enough commercial breaks. :):

(It may not actually be more, but somehow it seems like it.)

Yeah, WIBC is heavy on commercials. Guy's content is worth it, though. I caught about 1/2 of the show on Saturday. Even my wife liked it.

I think Guy mentioned the podcasts should be on WIBC's site eventually, and he was talking with a producer about dropping them on some sharing site in the short term. In the meantime, we just need to go old-school, and listen to the broadcast!

I heard him filling in for Abdul (Cant stand listening to him)......and listened to Guy for a while. They were discussing gun free zones. I thought I heard Guy say all they can do if you get caught with a gun in a GFZ is remove you from premises. No law against carrying in GFZ.........did I hear that correctly?

On private properly, they can ask you to leave. If you refuse, then they can press trespassing charges.

There are some places that are more serious however- federal sites, courthouses, etc.

How/who decides what buildings we can enter and which we cant? For example...I can't enter Hendricks County Courthouse armed.....but I can enter the Hendricks County Government Center armed? Is there a law that says we are allowed to carry in the Government Center?

Look at the exceptions listed in the "State preemption" law. They spell out the circumstance that COULD lead to a legal reduced-carry zone.

Courthouses are NOT automatically gun-free. The State ALLOWS local governments to make ordinances, but it is not REQUIRED.

Even then, certain classes of citizens are still allowed to carry.

Yep. The state legislature decides, generally, unless they allow a lower body to have a say. You can't carry into a school without permission of the school board or the body in charge of a private school, can't carry into any building with a courtroom (if local authorities have made that ordinance), but can't be prevented from carrying into other lower-than-state-level gov't buildings that do not have a courtroom, if you have your LTCH. (oddly enough, the way that's written, they can prevent you from carrying your knife in, but not your handgun.)

There are a few other places, still. State Fairgrounds during state fair, shipping ports, riverboat casinos. By and large, though, most places it is not unlawful to carry.

    Blessings,
    Bill

Since the beginning of gun control, it's allowed crimes by firearm to grow.

Hey, guys. Thanks for starting this thread - and for listening to the show! Please use this thread for suggestions on future topics for the show too, and for ways to make the show better. I'd love to get input from INGOers. And please feel free to call the studio during the show to participate in the discussion! (317) 239-9393.

You're right - the 6-7p time slot during the week (when I was filling in for Abdul last week) is pretty thick with commercials - probably because it's still considered "drive time" for radio. The good news is that we have a lot more time for content on Saturdays during my regular show (5-7p).

WIBC is still working on getting my page set up on their website - and that's where they'll post podcasts eventually. That process is kinda out of my hands, so I can't give you a time frame, but I don't think it'll be too long.

    Thanks again!

    Guy
