    Most of us probably told 'em: 'None of your **** business', when asked how many guns we had. They were probably just guessing. ;)

    The numbers seem based on about 89 guns per 100 people no matter which state you check. I did 8.
    Yes, I believe the technical term is "fudge factor" in stats.:D

    Someone took a national number for guns in America (a guess) and then calculated each state as having that exact percentage. It's a calculation based on an estimate then assumed that each state is the same as the national average.

    This, plus just the 'shock' factor that States have as many privately-owned guns as some countries. It is supposed to disturb us. Doubtless the Mommies will get their panties in a collective wad about it...
