    Or the author does not understand how irony works

    The author did not make it past the title without name calling, and the article didn't even start before he continued on that theme;

    You have to love an article that starts off with an ad hominem and then accuses gun owners of having "no facts or real argument and just push and push their agenda and fallacies" :):

    Somewhere over the rainbow
    Looking at the other posts, I assume the blogger is a high school sophomore, given the level of analysis.

    EG, Canada is a better country because the people there are more satisfied. Deep.

    A couple of gems, so to speak:

    Canadians are happier and healthier than Americans and these reasons as well as others show why this is. They are a peaceful country that has a wonderful reputation in the world. Everyone loves Canadians as they are friendly, humble, peaceful, and accepting. The US could learn a thing or two from our amazing friends up north. The US has many problems and Canada while not perfect is pretty close. One day I will live there, until then I thank Canada for being CANADA!

    If we adopt democratic socialism, outlaw guns, stop invading these countries, and take care of our people we can achieve greatness but as it currently stands we are not great at all. We are a very divided, violent, and broken nation but I really do appreciate everything Mr.Obama has done to give us a chance to be a great country again and hopefully things can continue to change for the better.

    There are thousands of these clowns out there blogging. Won't pay this one any more attention, unless he actually moves to Canada and renounces his US Citizenship.

    "Cowards carry"? Is there some sort of moral or other superiority to being a victim?

    Apparently you've missed out on the entire leftist mantra from the last few decades. Check out what is going on in various college campuses with "minorities that need protection" in the last couple of months.

    So, the author denigrates gun owners in general, and the NRA specifically in the title, but then never mentions the NRA in the article.

    Nothing more than the rambling of a mindless idiot.

    These idiots remind me of those who grew out their hair, spent way to much time sucking on a bong and carried signs in protest......Circa late 60's early 70's.

    Those whack jobs grew up and are now in charge.

    IKR. I've never understood the idea that it takes courage to let your wife or daughter be raped. I don't think the author of that crap understands the meaning of being a coward. If your plan to defend yourself or your family rests mainly on cowering until someone else comes to help you, then you are a coward.

    Someone can do a lot of harm in the time it takes the police to show up. I guess it's just lost on some people.

    That bozo is just disconnected from reality and expects you to put up your dukes and let the bullets bounce off your red S, or if you HAVE to use more than your fists maybe you can pull a can of spinach out of your shirt and hit bluto over the head with it.

    Funny what passes for "liberal" these days. The dictionary says things like: "tolerant" and "open-minded", but these clowns are fascist nanny-statists.
