I read the review about a Litschert on a 700 rem in .223. The groups are very nice at 50 yds and 206. I think the variation could be related to the factory .223.
I own a Mauser K-98 custom built in 1938 by a man in KC ,KS. The 220 Swift cartridge will group at better than MOA @ 400 yds. My Spotshot is a 12X and this Mauser has double set triggers. You do not want to touch the last one until you want it to fire. This rifle was sent to England for the "Home Defense" and returned in 1952. Neat rifle and a lot of fun on prairie dogs.
