As it always does, "gun control" descends into science fiction and believes that using taxpayer money to force cops to carry "smart guns" will direct the market.

I really do not think they understand how the gun market works. I know many are looking at the Glock posters in the background. From my research they are from IWA during the 2014 show.

Apparently a covey of NYC pols went to Germany and saw this poster at IWA and think that because NYPD bought Glocks that NYC--the center of the universe don't ya know--can dictate the gun market.

So...Armatix thinks its products are "suitable for law enforcement"?

They can't be talking about the "smart gun"....right?

is it used by law enforcement.....anywhere?

What is telling is that no one from the little group knew enough about guns to ask that question.

Reading this is like listening to 8th grade boys talking about sex. Everyone is very enthused, but no one has the slightest idea what they are talking about.

DeBlasio ought to lead by example. He could go about requesting money to have his security team replace all of their dangerous and antiquated arms with shiney new, smart guns.

Most anti-gun stuff seems to be that way.

Force police, military, and secret service to carry smart guns for a few decades before they're deemed safe enough and reliable enough for the general public.

Smart guns will become a thing of the past in a matter of days.

[h=1]Rep. Maloney Introduces Legislation to Reduce Gun Deaths, Make Guns Safer[/h] May 8, 2017

    Press Release

WASHINGTON —In an effort to improve gun safety, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) has reintroduced The Handgun Trigger Safety Act, forward-thinking legislation to use new and emerging technology to prevent gun deaths. The bill would promote the development of new “smart gun” technology that only allows an authorized user to fire a gun. It would also mandate that all newly manufactured handguns use this technology within five years, and that existing handguns be retrofitted with this technology within ten years. Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) will introduce a companion version in the Senate.

It'll probably go as far as that silencer bill.

Retro-fitting every handgun in the country? Good luck with that. I'm sure all of New York and Chicago's gang bangers will line up and volunteer to do it.
