    That would be a huge mistake for the company. You only do that if you make a crap product that you want people to forget about and hope no one notices it's the same product with a different name.

    The parent company will change names. The firearms will not. This will be invisible to the consumer of firearms.

    IH, think of Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation as a big sack. Many smaller sacks are in this big sack, SWHC--Thompson Center, Lazer/Phazers, and Smith & Wesson Firearms.

    The big sack's name might change (to AOBC) but Smut und Weasel Firearms will remain the same.
