Im new to Indiana and that being the case Im not familiar with all thing firearms related in this state YET. I posted in gunsmithing that I was looking for a good smith to work on my 3rd gen Colt SAA. A couple of guys posted some gunsmiths but one doesnt work on Colt SAA, and the other had a disconnected phone number. However I did find a guy in Peru who went to school for gunsmithing and is now a master gunsmith I took my Colt there and he seems like a real nice guy, and knowledgable. His name is Mike Hines, and his shop is called Hines Gunsmithing LLC, I was impressed enough to let him do the work on my baby, so anyway I just thought I'd post this incase someone else is in need of a gunsmith.

I'll be curious to see his work. I once had a "master gunsmith" out of bedford destroy a lot of parts on a vintage 1911 frame. Lots of basement gunsmiths around messing up a lot of nice stuff

Glad you found a good one. Im always worried that they will turn out to be a basement armorer. If anyone is gonna break my guns, its me!

The guy proudly displays his diploma, and who he apprenticed under. I'd rather see that and meet the smith who is going to work on my gun than just hand it over to a gunshop who will send it to someone I don't know squat about
