Underwater Bullets at 27,000 fps

Interesting look at a bullet fired underwater. Gets interesting around the 2:45 mark. In looking at the immediate cavitation just in front of the barrel it becomes very obvious the damage a gun can do to the innards when it is pressed against the skin when fired.

Your title had me baffled as to how they could achieve 27,000 FEET PER SECOND underwater.

The fps in this case is "frames per second". It is how quickly the camera, which is VERY sophisticated and expensive, captures images.
