The reporter unfortunately only confirmed my prejudices about the species:
1)"I've never shot a gun before"
    2)"AAAAHHH"

But kudos to that reporter for actually firing it. The question now is whether she has already either bought her own gun or started therapy for her PTSD.

I didn't know the expression "first lady" was used at the state level to call the wife of a governor.
    Is it common?

Really glad to see the news report and glad to see they presented it as positively as they did! Sure gave me a positive outlook about our 'first lady'.

    Is it common?

The female spouse of the chief executive officer of a non-monarchy is called the "First Lady".

    Used in USA since 1850s.

Male spouse is called the "First Gentleman", or, in Alaska, "the First Dude".
