I am looking for someone in Indianapolis who will appraise an old cap and ball gun. I will pay for a written, or verbal appraisal. This gun belongs to a friend who lives out of town but wanted to leave it in my care. I suspect that he may want to sell it but I guess that would depend on it's value.

I don't know anything about antique firearms. I just want to avoid driving to every shop in town.

Post some good pics and I'll give it a go...Good pics with detail and serial number (or numbers)....My shop is in Clarksville and if you "don't want to drive all over town" I am sure driving to within spitting distance of Louisville is not something you care to do........

If it's something awesome I enjoy researching my fee will be the joy I get from doing it...If it's boring just send me $20 whenever...

A relic dug 1858 Remington frame and cylinder is worth $70 and an original Texas Dance Revolver can go up to $70,000....There is a very wide range on these weapons.....
