I agree that it is surprisingly good, but her statement about the 2nd Amendment "allowing" the citizenry to keep and bear arms makes me think this 10-year citizen still doesn't quite get it.

I ran across it on another forum or I'd have never seen it. I don't see much CNN content unless I'm walking by a tv in the airport... Figured many gun owners and folks under 65 were in the same boat.

Just finished reading the article and found it to be well written non-hit piece on gun ownership. I can't believe that CNN would allow such an article to be published. Surprises pop up at the strangest of places.

She did mention "Many view the media, including my employer, with disdain -- and they do not hesitate to let me know." So not everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Give her a break, she's come a long way.

I leave the convention trying to reconcile what I've gathered on this day with the philosophy of nonviolence with which I was raised. I am not certain that vast cultural differences can be bridged in a few hours, but I am glad I got a glimpse into the world of guns. I have much to consider.
