Colorado cop shoots man "armed" with AR-15 type rifle

Interesting officer involved shooting here. Ibtimes article says the rifle was unloaded and all the articles show the same screenshot of the man holding the rifle vertical by the fire end. This happens incredibly fast and to my eye the suspect either swung the rifle or threw it at the officer.
