My cousin got hit with a stray round of .556 while roofing his lake house a few years back. There was a high wall in the coal mine 500 yards away where people liked to shoot. They had a great backstop untill they put targets on top of the 70' hill. In 3 years he has been shot, his house has twice he knows of ,and once a vehicle. Know where your bullet will stop.

Is a specific law for this sort of thing really needed? What I mean is, aren't there already laws on the books that would cover this sort of thing, reckless homicide, reckless endangerment causing bodily injury, disturbing the peace, etc.?

    IANAL, just asking the question.

I lived in Arizona when they made it a felony to shoot into the air (after a middle school girl died in her back yard)

People seem to feel better if they can just "make a law about it".
Then they wonder why they have so many laws, no one can do anything.

Found this in the storage building when I got to work this morning. View attachment 57086 View attachment 57085

I'll see the positive in this:
1: They arent stupid enough to EDC ball ammo
2: They likely popped off that round in the heat of the moment so it wasnt premeditated. (hey, I'm gonna fire this into the air so let me go load up some cheap target ammo)

    But yeah, still a jackwagon.

Never found bullets but years after we fixed them I realized what the small round holes in my mom's attic probably were. (Grew up in IL with a good liberal family:dunno:)
