My wife has a birthday today. I bought her a Savage MKII and gave it to her at the party this afternoon. She was very excited.

She never was against guns and even tried my .44 mag when we were dating almost 2 decades ago. (Big mistake on my part). But earlier this year, I finally got her to the range with me. She shot my 10/22 and even asked to try my AR, which she kinda liked.

So this is HER rifle. I won't shoot it other than to sight it in. She can't wait until school starts so we can head to the range.

Anybody can buy a .22lr, not everyone can afford to feed it.

Outstanding! Looks like she'll really enjoy that.

This is her opening it at the restaurant today. A few months ago, my dad gave me my .243 in the same section of the restaurant. My daughter, on the right, didn't know what I had gotten her but guessed correctly.

You should consider what I did with my wifes AR. I told her I'd teach and help her sight it in but shes doing the shooting. Which she did very well.

I hope she really is excited because that would be cool. 98% of all women don't want guns for gifts. They may act excited but they will **** on your tooth brush as payback because you just deprived them of something shiney or pretty.
Like if they tell you a holiday isn't important, it's a TRAP! All,holidays and even ones you haven't even heard of are important to women and it's your job to read their minds and find out

    That grin says it all.
My wife only the weekend before this one went up to me and asked to go to the range to shoot my .22s and her .38 Special.
It does a man's heart good to have his better half ask for some range time.
