I don't really know anything about armadillos, but is it really possible for a .38 to ricochet off their shell? Or is it more likely he missed and the bullet bounced back off a rock or something?

    Where to start,

"...southwest of Texarkana, at around 3 a.m. on Thursday morning.."

I'm guessing a meth-head here. Probably meth and booze and on the lower education scale. Hey wait and hold my beer... Do stupid things with guns, you get stupid results.

    In da face!!

Didn't some guy in Georgia ricochet a bullet off an armadillo and hit his mother in law?
