3 years ago i posted a question asking if anybody knew of a QUALITY BLUER in Indiana for a gun that i was going to have engraved. The response was a typical internet garbage ,paint finish ,epoxies , parkerise, the only bluer finally recommended was Turnbull, after a rant by me pointing out i wanted blue and local ,and a slap on the wrist by the forum mods.which I deserved. Well it is complete now ,took the better part of 3 years .
1st off to be polished by Classic Guns in Crete IL 30 min from home Then to the engraver Terry Miller in Howe In. Then back to Classic Guns for a carbona blue.In the mean time I made a set os Ivory grips and found a Scrimshaw artist Cathy Grandalski from Il. to do a design on the ivory grips. Here is my 1903 colt model -M
in 32 Cal.The wait was well worth getting what i wanted. Please when someone asks for advise read the post to understand what they want ,and then stay on topic. As Thumpers mom said if you don't have anything nice to say
    dont say anything.

Beautiful gun. The engraving and bluing look great! The grips are outstanding. That is a great piece to display. Just curious what was the cost of the different steps of polishing, engraving and bluing?

I understand your thoughts....lack of reading comprehension often comes to mind when reading replies.

    Every 1903-08 just shoots great ,i have 6 that won't quit a J M B design
As far is the cost if you really want to know between the cost of a LES Bauer and a HARLEY
    somethings are worth it.
The gun is a tribute to my wife who passed who's name was ROSE

While Sullivan was right about form following function, this is proof that beauty can be achieved beyond the intrinsic practicality. Well done.
