So, the NRA supported President Trump in using unelected unaccountable bureaucrats to change our laws without the consent of Congress and in direct conflict with ex post facto laws.

Many of us warned that doing this would open a Pandora's Box of unintended consequences. None of which would be good.

It seems those consequences are now coming home to roost. The lawsuit mentioned in the linked article below says that since bump stocks are machine guns, and all AR15's can be easily modified to receive a bump stock...that means that the government now acknowledges that all AR15's are machine guns and are illegal.

If you are willing to accept the NRA's position on bump stocks, then you have to admit they are using a logical line of thought. If a bump stock can be arbitrarily reclassified as a machine gun, then why wouldn't anything that a bump stock be put on also be arbitrarily reclassified a machine gun?

Maybe this particular lawsuit can be defeated. But you know the anti gunners are not going to give up on this one. THANKS NRA!!!!!

Trump screwed the pooch with both hands on this one. Many of us told the others so as it unfolded. When he talks about guns he obviously doesn’t know his @$$ from a hole in the ground. Which leads me to question how much he knows about other stuff he talks about. When it comes to the Second Amendment he can kiss my @$$.

Im not giving up my AR15 ever and neither will millions of other Americans. This is a path they don't want to go down. They can rule or say whatever they want.
But yes, the NRA screwed us just like they are trying to on red flag laws. All under wayne LaPierre's leadership. He must go!

And the sad part is all those who argued about how the NRA was playing 3D chess and knew what they were doing to defeat all of this, are the same ones who now want us to shut up about saying "I told you so". Those who tried to explain these very repercussions were call devissive, traitors to the NRA, and WE were accused of damaging the 2nd amendment cause by not blindly trusting that the NRA's communication and actions were going to lead to significant negative consequences.

All it took was to dispassionately follow the NRA's communication and actions to their logical conclusion to see this coming.

The NRA has become the new Titanic. Leadership in denial that the actions they were taking would ram them full speed into an iceberg. People plugging their ears saying "this is not happening" like children while the ship is sinking around them. I am saddened that so many in the firearms community allowed themselves to be caught by the normalcy bias of "The NRA will fix it all!" I thought we knew better than this.

What lobbying organization are the multitudes of pro 2A folks going to now that the NRA are the bad guys?

Are the other organizations geared up to take the NRA's place?

Are we just going to go without representation while this gets sorted out?

Well there the SA...no, not big enough, oh wait, what about GO...nope they’re nothing but a blip on the radar. Umm, we’ll start a new one, wait, gun owners are as fickle a bunch as can be had, so getting everyone to agree on something, 5hats a non-starter as well. I guess, with all it’s faults, the NRA is the ONLY game in town that matters, so we should destroy it too.
