I first got into reloading in the mid-1980s. I purchased my first case trimmer roughly around 1989, an RCBS Rotary Case Timmer-2. I still have it, its a very well made simple little device, I have trimmed several thousand cases with it over the years.

Last night I over-tightened one of the little set screws and could not loosen it without stripping the hex-key faces in the set screw. Those individual parts are not available online, so I called the RCBS Customer Support number.

I told them I'd like to order the fine and coarse adjustment bushings, and the little set screws that go with them. Then he told me I would also need the little brass inserts that go with them that prevent damage to the bushing threads. I told him I was going to ask about those because they didn't show up on the exploded parts view that came with the cutter.

So I thought that was a heads-up job on his part, but there is more to it.

He took my name and address and asked if I needed anything else. I said no. He said, "Ok, you have a nice day". I asked him, "Don't you need a credit card number?". He said, no, we're good.

You can't beat that for outstanding product support. And this on a product that is almost 30 years old. That's simply outstanding in my book.

I've always thought RCBS was a great company. But my opinion of them just went up today. :rockwoot:

I'm VERY glad to see this thread.
I've recently acquired an RCBS case prep station and a Chargemaster combo.

Glad to know in the event that something malfunctions.

I just purchased some 45acp dies from Gander that was going under. I got them for 7 bucks. Got them home and noticed the expander die was not in the box and seater plug was also gone.

I called them and same thing. Sent it all out no charge. Went ahead and purchased a new turret press and uni flow along with some other tid bits.
