Shout out to my buddy, Phil Montarsi.
This is an old model Vaquero that I had him engrave.
Phil does awesome work at really affordable prices.
He has a shop in Nineveh. He doesn’t just engrave guns, he can do about anything.
Look him up if you need something done.

Every time I go back and look at the pics I see some different little detail that I missed. Like the engraving on the side of the hammer. One minute it looks like an eagle in flight with its wings swept back, and the next it looks like the head of a roadrunner with its crest sweeping back. Still drooling over that gun.

Wow, you don't see craftsmanship like that every day!

These guys are a literal dying breed. There are only 45 Master Engravers in the USA currently. (And this guy isn't on the list...yet)

This type of work is dying out, too. With the advent of micrometer-precise laser engraving and CNC machining - it's hard to make a living doing this kind of thing.

OP: Pass this link along to your guy. Firearm Engravers Guild Home Page
