OK so I ruled out the Professional, I don't think my skill set would allow me to realize the full potential, Springfield torqued me off with the carve out.
Enter Buds they are selling the Commander size 1911 in 9mm for about $400.00 less than I can find it any where else.

It doesn't say blem second etc so why the big difference in price? I have never bought from Buds or any other online retailer. Would you be concerned?

    P.s Auto correct stinks

Bud's occasionally has really good prices on Dan Wessons. I picked up a bronze over black Heritage last spring for $920. I need to keep an eye on their website to be sure I don't miss a deal when it's available.

I have a DW Specialist and love it!!!
As a voice of caution - if the price seems too good to be true, it is likely a blem. If/when you order it, print out a couple copies of the receipt. You can also ask them directly over the phone, and ask which serial # they will ship to you.
When someone is looking at the serial number ON THE GUN , have them verify that there's no mark next to it (Edit: upside down "Y").
Ive heard of 1 (and only 1) mix up where Buds shipped a blem at full price, and the confusion came from the description -- it could've been avoided if someone looked at the actual gun prior to shipping

With all that said, I'd ALSO feel very confident in DW blems, especially a stainless model. All blems SHOULD have a paper in the case with a diagram that shows where/what the blem is.

"Blem" CZs and Dan Wessons use an upside down Y as a blem mark at the end of the serial number

I will add that I know for a fact that DW blems carry a full warranty on functionality, but not on finish (DW only warranties the finish for a year anyway)

Their "DUTY FINISH" really is SUPER tough, and I recommend it if you're on the fence. I like the look of stainless (and it is stainless underneath), but... the only things alive after a nuclear explosion will be cockroaches, coyotes, and DW's Duty Finish.
