Back in October I posted these pics of some old 30-06 Winchester Super Speed silvertips that a buddy gave me. When I found out how much they were worth, I gave them back to him and told him I would help him sell these plus the rest of his old stash.

If anyone knows any more details about the vintage of some of these, would appreciate any feedback. Check out the prices on some of the old shotgun shells, around $3 for a box!

Here's the Winchesters I posted back in October:

OK, the following pics were taken with my cell phone, I need to get back over to my buddy's house with a real camera and take some better pics for purposes of selling. Granted, some of these aren't the best quality pics, but still fun to look at some of this old stuff:

Nice old collection! I've got an old box of the Kleanbore 30-40 Krag. And while it's not commercial ammo, I routinely shoot ammo (especially 8mm Mauser) that was made in the 1930's. That's why I crack up when I see guys ask, "Is this ammo I bought 5 years ago still safe to shoot?" :):

Wow! that's a great collection. Shooting the Corinas might be a problem, though. I hear they really foul the chamber, and leave a lot of ash. :):

I'm wondering is the old ammo worth money or is it the boxes? Except for the .41 rimfire. If it's the boxes you could enjoy the ammo and keep/sell the boxes!

Empty boxes aren't worth that much but are super cool to display. There is definitely a collectors market for old ammo boxes with original ammo, but as with everything it comes down to condition, condition, condition. Torn flaps, rips, tears, stickers pealed off all deteriorate the value. Don't be fooled by GunBroker listings. You might see a similar box you've' got on there for $350, but it's not the asking price that creates the value. You gotta look and follow to see if any one bids. Collector's follow those listings and you will get what the market commands. I'm sure if you list that .41 Rimfire you'll get some decent coin for it.

I always look at completed auctions on gunbroker to get real wold pricing, as that is what someone actually paid for an item.
Although I am a collector and shooter, I would never drop $350 on a box of old ammo. I would either buy another gun, or buy ammo to shoot for that price. Or buy some cool collector AK mags that I would actually use.
I'm sure "that guy" is probably out there, in my opinion the only way to reach him/her is going to be gunbroker.

In todays' collector market, what is a full box of .30 Pedersen ammo going for?

Big bucks. Probably 200.00 minimum. I actually did a search and found no whole boxes for sale. Just lots of loose rounds. Of course, the headstamp and box condition will effect the price.

Edit: I am probably low at 200.
